You want to change your life?  You need tons of merit to move it into the direction of your choosing.  Otherwise you’re just playing with thoughts; changing “bad” ones for “good” ones.  In the end you’ll end up super tired and maybe even give up trying.

So merit, yes it’s what you earn from life itself when you make changes.  And one of the biggest ways to make huge amounts of it is to translate books.  Not just any books though I’d say if you can translate cool books that’s fine, but I’m talking about Sutras and Buddhist texts.

Translate Buddhist cannon into other languages, boy, that’s where the world starts to work in your favor.
