To Change Your Future, Learn From Past Lives.

Ever wonder who you were in a past life?  Ever think about what kind fo impact that would have on your current situation?  Is it even important to understand your past, what you did, and what kind of relationships you established?  Think about it.

Well, I never really asked myself these questions until a few years ago when I suddenly realized who I was in a past life.  How much of an impact that would have on me today.  I don’t want to say too much about this topic because even though it’s important, I don’t want you to think that’s the goal of cultivation; finding out past lives is actually a fruit of practice.

It was a fact in many Sutras that deeply rooted, centered, focused individuals could know as many as 100 past lives and probably could go back even further.  Unfortunately I’m not of that calibre of cultivation accomplishment by a long shot.  I honestly only have knowledge of my past 2 lives and there’s no way for me to reveal that in a blog because it’s not useful information for anyone but myself.

So how do we come upon this knowledge of past lives?

Well, we can pay clairvoyants to tell us or an easier way is to read, “The Sutra of the Past vows of EarthStore Boddhisattva.”  That’s one sure way, though it took me a number of years to find out who I was while not even caring for that sort of stuff, I did finally have insight into this knowledge about myself.

Years?!  Do I have years?  Well, don’t fret, the good news is it might take you a shorter amount of time because like I said, I’m a busy individual who just happens to cultivate very sincerely though not like a monk or anything.  Maybe you have more time for all this to go deeper into insights like these which will shorten your time?  I don’t know how long it will take you.  But if you study history, especially, your country’s history, your people’s history, read articles on MeditationExpert.com, study this and other Sutras as well as study yourself, there’s a good chance you will know Past Lives that will help you move forward because of understanding they will bring.

Honestly, it’s not a big deal.  I don’t see it that way.  It’s interesting, but it’s just scenery on the path.  It can help you understand many things about your current life, in that sense it’s cool.  But in the end, it’s another thing not to hold on to too tightly; just sort of see it as a beautiful cloud passing by; It’s beautiful, then it’s gone.

City Of 10,000 Buddhas has a web page with or without commentary containing many sutras.  One of them being “The Past Vows of EarthStore Boddhisattva.”  Check them out.  You can actually order the Sutra in book form on many web sites for less than $20 if you want to carry it around or have it for yourself without causing your eyes problems with computer use.

Well, good luck, and stay well.
